BOLLARD INSTALLATION
BOLLARD INSTALLATION
When there are wall ladders, hydro poles, gas pipes, generators, or electrical boxes needing protection from passing vehicles – your best option is to call Wally’s Sealing & Paving Inc. to strategically install numerous bollards. Bollards are manufactured and strategically installed steel pipes that are placed 3-5 feet away from each other and from the area they are protecting. They are positioned with enough space to allow for pedestrian traffic, but close enough to deter the entrance of any vehicle.
OUR PROCESS
Our estimating team will first come to site to see and assess the object or building needing bollard protection. Our quote will note the details needed to ensure the bollards give 100% protection to the desired asset.
We will be there to accomplish every part of the process, from beginning to end. If there is any digging or excavation needed, we will take care of gathering the locates before beginning the work.
Our team will then order the required bollards from the steel manufacturer. When all materials to complete the job are acquired, our team will come to site to complete the job. Once the holes are dug, each bollard will rest 18-24” inches deep and rise above the ground surface at 30-48” tall. After the bollard is placed perfectly straight in the hole and at the required depth and height, we fill the hole around the bollard with cement. Once the hole is filled with cement to ground level, the hollow steel pipe is then filled with cement to the top. While the cement cures, a team member will continually place a level alongside the bollard to make sure the bollard cure’s as straight standing as it can get. Once all cement is poured, our team will dress the steel pipe with an industrial bollard sleeve or paint the bollard with a bright red or yellow paint (whatever the customer requires).
